Today's posts
Try to read a poem by Robert Burns this week. If you’re not sure which one to start with,
read ‘To a mouse’. The rhymes are
effortless. Not one is forced. On the
Wikipedia webpage there is an English version alongside Burns’ original text
and this will help a lot. Burns’ meaning is clear enough and there is no point
in not making the effort to understand it!
Today’s poem is also about someone interfering with nature in one small
thoughtless incident. It is not to a mouse but to a spider.
Dinner for all in Bristol. What better than a meal to bring matters to
an end? But, of course, getting together
like this is just a beginning too.
This winds up the story of Magdalena and so next week
we will start on something different.
