Today's posts
This week the poem
is ‘Still heard?’. Do people still read poetry? In these coronavirus times I think they do.
For example, these days there is the poem that is often shown on TV in Britain.
It begins:
“When things go
wrong,
As they sometimes
do.”
But it ends with
encouragement to carry on however bad the situation is.
Poetry is a
refuge. It is always there waiting to give you a hug.
Today we have part 6 of
‘Three Hours from Spain’: ‘Harrods, a
pizza and a meeting in the Science Museum’. Carmen, Ana and Maria go shopping. There were
no restrictions and no social distancing then!
There is also another ‘Letter
from my Terrace in Palma’: ‘Hiding behind words’
