The lament of the grumpy Easyjet passenger who is growing old.

I’m tired now of Easyjet

And I’m tired of Ryanair.

I like the places where they go

But I’m tired of going there.

I’m tired of security checks

And the long, slow, shuffling queue.

Take off your coat and belt and boots

Or they will shout at you.

I’m tired of slowly leafing through

The new flight magazine.

All the places are “iconic”

And most of them I’ve seen.

The rest are “atmospheric”

Which suggests a lot of air.

Delete these two words from the page,

And half the page is bare.

So keep your airports and your queues

And your atmospheric text

I think I’ll stay at home you know

So that’s where I’m going next.
