Sorry, but this week’s post has to be a day early.

Today’s poem is a tribute to Grace Darling and to her father. In   September 1838 they saved the survivors from the ship Forfarshire which was wrecked in a storm off the coast of Northumberland.  Grace Darling was just 23 and she became one of the first celebrities of the mass media.
