The poem this week is ‘And the music’.    This is a plea for more lyrical poetry today, for poems that are a pleasure to remember and a joy to recite aloud.  

 

I am posting another letter from my terrace in Palma. This week it is number 20, ‘The life of the city’.  How happy we were before Covid-19, little suspecting what was to come.

 

Today we have part 7 of Johnson’s life, ‘The Dictionary Hangover’.   The great Dictionary is finally finished, and Johnson has to decide what to do next.
