We are in late March, which is early spring, though the recent weather in Palma does not respect the calendar this year.  However, today’s poem, ‘Early one morning’, takes us back to December.   

Also today we start the story of Magdalena and James once more.  The play is loosely, in fact very loosely, based on ‘La celosa de sí misma’ of Tirso de Molina, which was written around 1621.  We begin with their first meeting in Bristol, a very short meeting as it turns out.
