Sometimes we need a break from the computer, the noise of traffic and the queue at the cash desk. ‘The Cloister in Sant Cugat’ is about a place that provides that break or at least, it did, for the poem was written some time ago, in the early 80s. I hope that the garden is still as quiet today as it was then.
