Even clouds
Even clouds
When the hour weighs heavy,
When the next job is hard,
When fever encroaches yard by
yard,
When long use has made the
day seem dull,
When that light touch
You had as a child
When you woke excited to the
new morning
Has gone, long gone,
Then look at the trees that
shelter you.
Look at the lane
That leads you on.
Look at the river
Content between its banks,
Flowing on. Flowing on.
Look up at the sky. Look up.
Look up.
Even the clouds have their
music,
If you will only listen.
Even clouds. Even clouds.
Even clouds have their music
If you will only stop a while
And look up.
