Annie Rose
Annie Rose
When the road is all uphill,
And the way is long and hard,
When I begin to doubt and
falter,
Then she’ll smile and come to
me
And say,
‘Tomorrow is another day’.
And her name is Annie Rose.
When others thrive and I
stand still,
When all the prizes pass me
by,
When I find I’m poorer than
before
And I know I’m that much
older,
She’ll lay her arm along my
shoulder
And say,
‘Tomorrow is another day’.
And her name is Annie Rose.
When it’s hard to hope again
And all my plans come crashing
down,
When I’m too tired to plan
again,
She’ll come and hold me in
her arms
And say,
‘Tomorrow is another day’.
And her name is Annie Rose.
